Hope in the Fire

One day, all the disagreements, offenses, misunderstandings, and unforgiveness we experienced in our life with one another will cease. We, eventually, will all meet our God who will reveal His judgement for us and none of the trivial plans of man will matter as our lives are weighed against His divine plan. All that will have mattered is if we listened and obeyed His commands of loving Him and loving His other children. Mark 12:30-31

You see, we are God’s creations, not the other way around. He is Holy and endures forever while we are evil and are only here for a short while. Psalm 144:4 We are living in mortal vessels and often we are unaware that we are truly and wholly dependent on Him! John 15:5

“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Even so, God created our spirits to be eternal. We are to live even after our fleshly bodies are dust. Our lives will be judged to see in which path or eternal place we will live. It is either the Kingdom of Heaven with Him, or the darkest of darkness. Matthew 8:12

In these ways, life on earth is like a fiery furnace. A place to tested and reviewed, while He sorts us out and refines us (Jeremiah 9:7) to the purest form of spirit He created us to be. Where He determines if we are His or not. Matthew 25:31-46 We are clay and He is the potter, we are being sifted like wheat under His direction and rule, and we are being tested and tempted, undergoing trials and tribulations (1 Peter 1:6-7) throughout our life to see if we are are truly His.

So let us not wax and wane by over-thinking the gospel. It is to be so simple that a child understands it and unless we become like them, trusting the Lord in all His truths, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3).

As fallen man, we love complexity. Simple is silly to most and often dismissed as foolish. We tend to overcomplicate the most mundane details of life to the point we don’t see the truth of how simple it is or should be. So let’s always renew our minds to His truths (Romans 12:2). Let us refresh ourselves in His spirit and presence. Let us repent from our worldly ways and get back to the basics of His ways and His will for us.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:2

One day, this will be indeed be over. Each of us have a divine appointment with the Lord, set by Him. None of us will know the hour or the day it will happen, but when it does happen, trust that you will indeed know the truth to all that is. There will be no way to lie or deceive Him with falsity, we won’t be able to lie in the presence of the Almighty, there will only be truth. We will have our whole life unfolded before us as in a book and each of us will indeed bow to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with the Honor our King rightfully deserves.

It’s better to start bowing now, to start listening now, and to begin learning to accept the Holy Fire of God’s refinement for our lives, now. If we are to be Holy as He is Holy, then why wait? If this is indeed all done for love, a true love story, then let’s love now. Let’s yield to each other, forgive one another, pray for one another, and honor and serve one another. Let’s learn to treat others with humility, gentleness, kindness, and long-suffering. Knowing that this is the way of the Kingdom of Heaven and Jesus Christ is the door in which we enter.

Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:7-10
