Evil Days

Ahhh – Monday. It’s filled with remorse, shame, regret, pain, anger, angst, soreness, bitterness, resentment, and all the evil of the world. The question is – is this evil ours or is it from the powers of this world? That is a strange question to ask considering the times we live in, but when we are not following the footsteps of Jesus, this world will blind us and deafen us to the true realization that He died so we may live and that we are no longer in captivity.

Yesterday was filled with love, fellowship, friendship, joy, kindness, appreciation for others, and worship of our God Most High. So doesn’t it make sense that these would be attempted to be stolen from us as Monday arrives? So now that you know that – don’t you feel better already? We are often attacked on Mondays (and other days too) because of who we are in Christ. That means you are very important in the world! We were created to help others in doing what God commanded us to do, which is to Love Him with all our heart, soul and strength, and love each other – as we love ourselves. Spoiler alert: The world does not want you to love Him, yourself or others!

So how do we overcome this evil day? By reflecting on the joys, victories and loves you experience and enjoy, daily! Know that He is with you through them. When the evil days arrive – as they often do – don’t succumb to them. Instead, dwell on the change you want to see in the world, in your family, friendships and in all of your relationships. Focus on Him and all things will be revealed to you. You will change the evil days not by taking part of them and being evil yourself, but by setting yourself apart from them, standing firm and choosing to be what God created you to be: honorable, kind, gentle, loving, joyful, holy and long-suffering. These choices do set you apart for good works and bearing fruit. Now, go – put on your full armor of God and tell the others!

Have a Blessed day – and know God loves you!

Jesus: minimized

Often times, I find myself minimizing Jesus. Like a browser window in my life. We can limit our God by minimizing what he does for us each day simply by ignoring or minimizing His “windows” into our life. This always leads to Satan maximizing his “apps” into our life and trying to control us, steal from us or destroy us.

Each of us can learn how to allow Jesus to remain in our life – not as a maximized browser window – but a cornerstone we build our lives on each day. To help others, to grow others, to lead others to Him. Each of us has a time to be here. What we do here on earth matters. Our daily decisions matter to others and they matter to Jesus. We can choose to let Him lead us – or let the world lead us.

Please join me in prayer:
“Jesus – help us to learn how to lean not on our own understandings – but on yours. To love others the way you love us and heal others as you have healed us. You are our rock, our firm foundation to stand on in the evil day. We will submit to you. We choose not to minimize you but to maximize Your will in our lives. Please give us this day – Your grace and mercy so we can do what it is we are created perfectly to do; in our lives and in others. In Your mighty name we pray – Amen!” ❤️
